Realist Painting

Starr works over repainting areas of a picture she is working on, not to improve the quality of the work but she is trying to show exactly how she feels. All subjects and emotions are articulated without exception in her realism art, which is truly her secret diary. Starr is truthful and consistent. The meanings she attaches to segments of her realism art do not deviate from picture to picture. When knowledge of the lures, mysteries and meanings found in her realist paintings are understood, an elaborate consistent map exposes the soul of a creative, complex artist. Starr finds this gratifying, not an intrusion, but an inclusion into her beautiful world. She states, “I feel we all have to guard who we tell our secrets to, "the need to be understood".

This realist painting is more clear and precise than pervious paintings. The two people under the tree represent Starr and her fantasy lover. The warm crimson dress represents romantic conceptions. The ground is covered with yellow daisies, which exemplifies romance. The blanket is painted in warm red colors that are adorned with flowers adding to the titillating moment. The black on the dress represents her deep secrets desires. The white shirt on her dream lover represents purity with purpose and self-discipline. The tree is a strong sensual foundation for the branches and leaves, which exemplifies the complex web of creative romance. The foreground of this realist painting depicts the unknown certainty of dreams not fulfilled.
